Stop Motion Studio
Stop Motion Studio is available in the App Store for iOS and Google Play. While there is a free and paid version, the free version is sufficient to start creating and having fun! Makerspace for Education states, “Stop Motion Animation is an excellent way to have students begin to explore the world of movie making.” They have several examples of ways to incorporate stop motion animation on their website.
The options for creatively communicating with this are endless! You can even app smash and put your stop-motion creation in other apps like Clips or iMovie to add finishing effects and then publish on Youtube. Hey, if my 5 year old can do it, so can your students!
Earn Your Stripe!
- Create and submit the link to your creation. How might you incorporate this into an upcoming lesson or unit?
- Earn this stripe a second time by having your students create an animation. Provide a short explanation of how this was used to further student learning.
