Space (Part 3) – An Expedition
Reflection and Discovery showed us what our learning environment looks like to you and your learners (and possibly colleagues). An Expedition will explore ideas about how to best use classroom space, whether it be traditional or flexible, at different age levels.
Complete all of the Space Learning Experience stripes.
In Space (Part 1) – A Reflection, you looked at your classroom and asked what does your classroom setup communicate. In part 2, Space – A Discovery, you will ask your students, and perhaps other educators, their thoughts through a survey or other means.
Space. Not the final frontier, but we can boldly go where no learning environment has gone before. Our classrooms play a huge role in learning. They set the tone. The first thing a learner encounters when entering a classroom isn’t always the teacher. And even if the classroom is the second thing they encounter, it makes an impression. It puts learners in a mindset of what to expect.
